For those of you that don't watch, the survivor who left had a name that started with a P, but it wasn't Patricia. Patricia received one vote, Sarah two and Peter the rest.

Okay, so I'm thinkin' Friday already. Bj suggested selecting an alternative destination. (Perhaps because it took Dan & I—the only other 2 who came—an extra 30 minutes in traffic to get there?) I'm thinking I haven't been out for Mexican in a while. Problem is, seems to me just about every location is conveniently inconvenient for just about all of us. Locations on I-Drive, near West Oaks, or out by the airport seem likely targets. Any takers?

I like that the two companies listed under "Food & Gourmet" are Harry & David (from my hometown of Medford, Oregon), and the ubiquitous Starbucks Coffee.

Perhaps we can invest in the antique bingo set together? Maybe if we bring guitars and sing "Walk Like An Egyptian," the fine folks at White Wolf will give us the Bingo Set, if only to quiet us down and convince us never to sing again.

While I'm not at liberty to discuss the shortage, I thought I'd throw this interesting tidbit of trivial knowledge your way... There's not a box of Girl Scout Cookies sold in Orlando that doesn't pass through James' warehouse first. They began to arrive more than a month ago. The Animal Treasures are the only ones I can stomach, although they are something like 90 calories or so each. I believe eating slices of sweetened lard, rolled in macadamia nuts would be healthier. The cookies were all better when Salerno was the baker.

COOKIE SHORTAGE
That's right folks. You read it here first. There's a Girl Scout Cookie shortage in the Orlando area. According to some sources certain beloved varieties (Thin Mints) may not be available unless you pre-ordered your cookies. Thankfully I pre-ordered 2 boxes of Thin Mints. There here right now, sitting on my desk in their bright green boxes, tempting me. I should've ordered more.
Best Selling Girl Scout Cookie Varieties:
Thin Mints 26%
Samoas®/Caramel deLites™ 19%
Peanut Butter Patties®/Tagalongs® 13%
Peanut Butter Sandwich/Do-si-dos™ 12%
Shortbread/Trefoils 11%
The other varieties combined account for the remaining 19%.

The Ben and Jerry's was good. They had less flavors than my neigborhood Publix though. Nothing at all like the Ben and Jerry's on Franklin St. When I was at UNC, the Ben and Jerry's on Franklin St. was half a block from my dorm. We cherished the Free Scoops served on the anniversary date even though we did not cherish the line that stretched up to six blocks down Franklin Street on those same anniversary days.

UnDinner Report
Saturday night, Bj, Dan, and myself ventured into the new Gaylord Palms resort for dinner and exploration. We promised a report-out, so here's my take.
We met in the atrium, better known as "St. Augustine." This would be the large glassed-in portion you can see from I-4. After wandering through "Castillo de San Marcos," we ventured over to "Key West" to peruse the menu at the seafood place. As neither Dan nor Bj are particularly fond of seafood, we left Key West, passed back through St. Augustine, and entered "The Everglades," where a steakhouse is perched in shanty lean-to's over the "swamp." Priced a tad high (think Disney resort price, think $40 for a steak, think "no"), we returned yet again to St. Augustine, where the $22 buffet also seemed steep. We instead enjoyed salads & sandwiches at Planet Java, while enjoying the occasional "Fountain of Youth" light-and-water show. Just tacky enough to remind you that this is a tourist-corridor hotel. After, we enjoyed (even more) ice cream from the newest Ben & Jerry's outlet (a mini-outlet to be sure; they were missing Chubby Hubby among other favorites).
Very pretty hotel, but it's gonna have to be a serious celebratory occasion to venture there for dinner. Either that or lottery winnin's.

Dewayne is the owner of the page on which is the googlewhack "pouty lustrum." A Googlewhack is a search for exactly two words that produces only one webpage reference. Find your own.
BTW - since I published it here "pouty lustrum" is soon to be no longer a Googlewhack.

Ok, well I didn't want to fill you in on this non-blog worthy bit o' info. But since the masses are clamoring for content -- Life sucks when the elastic waist (or tummy) band in your underwear fails. It especially sucks when you've left the gym, are wearing shorts on a too cool for shorts evening and are shopping at Publix. The offending pair is in the trash now. I hope the lady that rifled through Dewayne's trash doesn't pull the Hanes Her Way black undies out of my trash.
