Dewayne, it's almost tempting to think it was worth it, just to see that posting.
<blushing>Yesterday was Friday? I have so lost track of days on this time off.</blushing>
My apologies.

i am an optimistic person. i always believe the silver lining will appear. even when stood up by an entire group of people. so last night when stationed all alone at a giant marble table, who should become my silver lining but a young man popularly known as mr. ass! he said "where's your group?"
i assumed my puppy-dog eyes pose, wimpered and said no one loved me. Suddenly and without warning, i said to mr. a "would you like to join me?" he did. he has noticed us (apparently we are loud, but not loud enough for him to hear nicknames). he's a doctor. he enjoys the company of men. he likes my eyes. he bought me the old-fashioned bingo set. we're going to vermont to get married and live in thornton park with undernourished foreign adopted children. we'll attend church and knock the Cutest Couple Ever off their perch.
and to think, if just one of you had showed up, this would have never happened.
er, um, well, it didn't happen, but a boy can dream, right?

can someone send me a sign about the status of this week's white wolf outing? seems like several of y'all are out of your usual pocket, but perhaps that doesn't matter. as for me, i'm with my realtor this afternoon (ack!), but a guy's gotta eat anyway. anyone? anyone?

Universal's Islands of Adventure Theme Park during Christmas week... what was I thinking? Insanity. And in an effort to maintain my membership on this 'blog, I will encode the following feeling using Dewayne and Daniel's cell phone technology: 3825 Disney's FASTPASS, Universal Studios Express, and any other virtual queue system. Although I still think the Universal's system is better than Disney's, it's like comparing terminal forms of cancer.

Amazingly enough, I don't actually exist—or does that explain a lot?

It's another test. This time: What Corporate Mascot Are You? Are we tired of these yet? (Note to Eric: We are, no doubt, the Penguin Publishing Penguin).

found this on one of my regular reads. too good to be true? discuss.
this is making the rounds:
This will warm your heart...just when you lost faith in human kindness: Someone who teaches at a Middle School in Safety Harbor, Florida forwarded the following letter. The letter was sent to the principal's office, after the school had sponsored a luncheon for the elderly. This story is a credit to all human kind. Read it and forward it to all those who could use a lift.
Dear Safety Harbor Middle School,
God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent senior citizen's luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at the Safety Harbor Assisted Home for the Aged. All of my family has passed away. I am all alone now, and it's nice to know that someone is thinking of me. God bless you for your kindness to an old forgotten lady.
My roommate is 95 and always had her own radio, but before I received one, she would never let me listen to hers, even when she was napping. The other day her radio fell off the night stand and broke into a lot of pieces. It was awful and she was in tears. She asked if she could listen to mine, and I said fuck you. Life is good.
Sincerely, Edna

(Ahem.) On another note, I may be late or (gasp) miss the Weekly Wolfing on Friday. (Too bad it's not on Wednesday, if only for the alliteration.) My appointment with the TimeWarner guy to install my EarthLink High Speed Cable Access is 3-6 Friday afternoon, which, as we all know, means 7.

greetings, group: i have a suggestion/invitation. after this week's white wolfing, i would like to offer up an invite over to my [conveniently-located] house for pie. i made it myself, a recipe from my homeland that involves chocolate, pecans and sugar. sure to put some kick in the weekend kickoff. i cannot promise home-made ice cream, tho.
if everything goes right, i should have up the christmas tree as well.
close your eyes now, eric: i also have some cheese grits, but they would have to be reheated.

I am Claude Monet's Waterlilies.
You are soft and gentle, but very colourful (please note, with the "u"). Although based in reality, you look at the world through a filter of impressions which shape how you see things. Splashes of light help to define your presence and bring an endearing quality.
I'm not sure whether this makes me sound interesting or like I should be played in a TV-movie by Sally Field.

Well, I didn't notice the church-capri, and I think I'm glad Dewayne didn't bring a camera to the service. If he had (no offense, Dewayne), I just might have had to sit elsewhere. Although his choice of pew-mates was hard to argue with. At all.
Now, photos of the bar-capri, well, now, that would be an entirely different matter. Snap away!
